The Learning Nest Preschool Intends to:
Provide a secure, caring, and enriched environment that promotes learning and development of the whole child, including spiritual, mental, and emotional development. We believe it is our duty to help each
child develop lifelong relationships, show forth Christ, create family solutions, and enhance the quality of life for our families.
At the Learning Nest, we aim to:
- Have a lot child-to-teacher ratio and small class sizes which maximizes all learning
- Spend quality teaching time with each child
- Develop close child-teacher bonds of affection, trust, and respect
- Assess each child’s social, emotional, cognitive, physical growth
- Work to achieve the best learning outcomes for each child
- Make safety an overall well-being of each child a priority
- Allow for our classroom environment to be safe, nurturing and engaging
- Guide each child to develop self-control by learning to manage their bodies and emotions
- Make sure all learning that takes place is developmentally appropriate
- Individualize learning experiences to each child’s specific needs and development
- Act as a facilitative guide to help children meet milestones through inspired learning
- Work together with our families, as partners, in both teaching and assessing a child
- Provide hands-on, meaningful and constructive learning experiences through a balance of whole group, small group or individual teacher and child-directed activities
- Make assessing ongoing while using a variety of evidence-based methods to determine if each child is meeting each curriculum objective.
